Mediatrix Media respects your privacy.  In brief, we collect and store only limited information, which is not shared with anyone.  Policy details are provided below.

The personal information we collect and store consists primarily of your name, email address and time zone.  Your account settings (such email preference) are also stored.

Your order history is stored, which tracks the amounts and items you purchased.  We do not store your shipping address except the ship-to country.  For tax purposes, we also track the ship-to state if we collect sales tax for that state.

When you purchase gift certificates, we store the recipient data for redeemed certificates and temporary store your shipping address so we can post a closing transaction if necessary.  Notes such as gift notes and thank you notes are also stored to prevent abuse, but these are deleted after the retention period expires. When you send a gift certificate, the recipient also receives your email address in case they want to decline.

We do not store any sensitive billing information such as your credit card number, name on the card, expiration date and billing address.  Furthermore, this sensitive payment information does not pass through our server or accounting system.

Mediatrix Media does not sell or share any information with third parties.

For sales tax calculation, your shipping address and shopping cart information are securely sent to a third party service (via Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption) and this service stores the information for reporting and auditing purposes.  Your shipping address, payment system name/email and Internet Protocol (IP) address are also temporarily stored by us to help prevent fraud.

We only obtain your personal information through our order processing and support systems, which includes limited data provided by the payment processor.

We only use cookies with the WebStore to persist the selected items in your shopping cart and their associated sales tax.  All data is strongly encrypted.  The payment interface also uses cookies for its secure processing.

We will send occasional announcements via emails (about once a year) to those who have chosen to receive them.
